Ambernath is a historic and industrial city located on the Central Railway line of Mumbai's suburbs. It is known for India's first agate factory, named "Wimco," which operated here. The ancient Shiv Mandir, an excellent example of prehistoric architecture dating back to several centuries ago, is also located here. In 1936, the Education Society of Ambernath was established, making it the oldest educational institution in the Thane district.
The campus of Ambernath houses a diverse population of residents belonging to various socio-economic backgrounds, including economically weaker sections, laborers, and marginalized communities. Students from such backgrounds, who have no heritage of education in their family, are admitted to our college.
To facilitate the holistic development of students studying in the Arts and Commerce departments of our College, various active committees, such as the Marathi Literature Club, Commerce Association, Economics Association, History Association, National Service Scheme (NSS), and Sociology Science Committee work throughout the year. The College actively participates in competitions at the University, College, Taluka, District, and State levels, providing direct involvement and recognition of our institution. Our College also has a tradition of receiving awards and accolades during the Mumbai University's "Udaan" festival.
Our College is committed to the all-round development of students' intellectual, social, and national awareness and thinking abilities.
